Larra Overton is a sports reporter and anchor for Fox59 and CBS 4. Larra grew up in New Albany, Ind. and attended Indiana University where she competed in track & field and cross country, competing in several NCAA Championships.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and master’s in Sport Communication from IU, she began her broadcasting career at Fox41 WDRB in Louisville, KY. Larra then went on to become the weekend sports anchor and sports reporter at WTWO in Terre Haute. During that time, Larra also served as a sideline reporter for Big Ten Network’s college football and track & field coverage. Larra moved to Indianapolis and began working for the Pacers, Fox Sports and the National Sports Journalism Center at IUPUI.

She joined Fox59 as a freelance traffic reporter and joined the Fox59 Morning Show full-time, then moved into the sports department. In addition to her role with Fox59, Larra continues to work for BTN as a track & field reporter. She has also taken on analyst duties for ESPN’s collegiate track & field coverage.
